  1. Clean interface – do not clutter all the information on one page. Spacing is important for the content to be legible and easily understood. Make sure every call-to-action (CTA) is clearly defined and identifiable. For example, Facebook has a very clean interface and you know exactly which button or tab performs the function you need.
  2. It should be natural – customers should instinctively know where to click and where to go on the web. Direct customers with pictures, symbols, hyperlinks and relevant information. To have an interface that can be used naturally without thinking making users think about it too much, you can have a focus group test out the website or mobile application to cover all shortcomings. Take feedback and incorporate new features into the site. This back and forth may seem time consuming, but will eventually save you a lot of time and hassle down the line.
  3. Color scheme – there is a science to every color that is used whether it’s on paper or a digital screen. Blue represents peace, whereas red is meant for warning signs and alert notices. Green is soft on the eyes and falls into the neutral category. The kind of color scheme used in your website and application really makes a difference on how much traffic you can get. It is also crucial that none of the colors overlap and make the content difficult to read and understand.
